How to put your Outlook calendar on Chrome’s new tab
See your Outlook, Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com calendar on every new tab, next to Google and iCloud, with a quiet nudge before meetings.
If your work runs on Outlook, your day probably starts there too. Here’s how to see it the moment you open a new tab, alongside your personal calendars.
In short
- In Pax: Calendars → Add a calendar → Outlook, then sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Works with Outlook.com and many Microsoft 365 work and school accounts, with two-way sync.
- Read-only option: publish your calendar as an ICS link and subscribe to it.
Connect your Microsoft account
- Add Pax to Chrome and open a new tab.
- Press , for Settings, then Calendars → Add a calendar → Outlook.
- Sign in with your work, school or personal Microsoft account and allow access to your calendars.
- Your Outlook calendars appear in their own colours, and edits you make sync back.
Some organisations ask an administrator to approve new apps. If you see that message, ask your IT team, or use the link option below.
Or subscribe to a published link
In Outlook on the web, open Settings → Calendar → Shared calendars, find Publish a calendar, choose the calendar and what to share, and copy the ICS link. In Pax, choose Add a calendar → Subscribe by link and paste it. You’ll see your events, read-only.
Meetings, without the scramble
When a meeting is close, one quiet line appears in your agenda with the title, the minutes left and a Join button for Teams, Zoom or Meet links. Snooze it for five minutes or dismiss it. Nothing beeps. Microsoft’s own 2025 research found the busiest workers get a ping every two minutes; your new tab doesn’t need to add another.
Next to your other calendars
Add your Google or iCloud calendar too and see work and home on one sheet of glass. The free plan connects one account and any number of .ics links; Plus connects more accounts.
Questions people ask
Does it work with a work or school account?
Usually, yes. Some organisations require an administrator to approve new apps first. If yours does, Microsoft will say so when you sign in, or you can use a published calendar link instead.
Can I join Teams meetings from the new tab?
Yes. If an event has a video link, the reminder shows a Join button a few minutes before it starts.
Will my events sync both ways?
Yes, when you connect your Microsoft account. A published link is read-only.
